Madeira wine or banana vine?
After 11 years being away from this marvelous island it was time to explore Madeira's nature again and, now we all got a bit older, visit the famous vineyards of Madeira and watch the process of making this particular wine. 
In Funchal you'll find some places where you can buy the bottled versions in various ages and blends and they will help you with all information you need to know all about the Madeira wines. 
But cris-crossing landinwards we only see banana's, banana's and again banana's and sorry to say so, after driving from Santana to Porto Moniz  and along the shore, we do not see any vineyards....NONE!
